Hiking Holiday Costa De La Luz
Costa de la Luz, the ‘coast of light’, runs from Tarifa to Cádiz. With this varied walking holiday you will discover an authentic, still unknown part of Spain that contains all the famous Spanish ingredients.Think of the passionate flamenco, sherry, bulls and delicious tapas. And of course the vast Atlantic Ocean to take a refreshing dip after – or even during our walks.Your hotel is also a stone’s throw from the beach and sea.Besides a long coastal walk that takes us over 100 meter high cliffs, from where we can even see Africa, we also go inland.Walk via a donkey path through the old cork oak forests near Facinas and we climb the ridge of the Sierra de la Plata, from where you have an overwhelming view over the entire coastal region. We visit the ruins of a Roman city that lived off tuna fishing, and afterwards taste this delicacy ourselves with a good glass of local wine.We also walk through La Breña Natural Park, an area full of fragrant pine forests. The bright green treetops contrast beautifully with the azure blue sea.Of course, a visit to a characteristic white Andalusian village with its winding streets should not be missed. What could be more fun than walking there yourself through a varied hilly landscape full of corn and corn fields? We also visit lively, versatile Cádiz. This oldest city in Europe is located on a peninsula in the ocean. The special light from which the region, the Costa de la Luz, owes its name, gives the city the allure of a film set.The guides of this trip have lived in this part of Andalusia for years. They love nothing more than to share their enthusiasm about the region with you.
